Bucking Funting Help Centre

  • How is Bucking Funting made?
It takes quite a bit of time to make good quality fabric bunting! Here are the many steps: First, I iron the fabric and measure out all the pennants using homemade templates Then I cut out all the pennants and pin them together, right sides in, ready for sewing Next, I sew along the two longest sides, leaving the top open for turning the right way out Before turning them, I snip off all the pointy edges so that the corners are nice and neat Using a crochet hook, I turn each pennant the right way out Finally, I iron each pennant, ready for sewing onto tape to make the bunting Lettering is applied using either hand-cut, adhesive fabric or fabric dye and stencils
  • Is the bunting washable?
Yes. All bunting is made from either 100% cotton or polycotton and is washable at 30 degrees in a washing machine. If you have bought bunting with wording on, we recommend gentle hand-washing in warm, soapy water and ironing with a cloth on top (an old pillowcase will do nicely).
